What is Church Voice?

Church Voice is a short writing profile that describes how your church sounds. In Communicate, AI Copy Generation uses it for every draft so campaign and communication copy sounds like your church instead of generic marketing.

It has three parts:

  • Voice & Tone (required) — a description of how you sound, for example warm, conversational, and never cheesy
  • Language Guidelines (optional) — Don't say → Use instead pairs, such as Sanctuary → Worship Center, plus words to always avoid or always prefer
  • Writing Examples (optional) — pasted emails, posts, or announcements that show your style

Plan: Plus, with AI Features turned on.

Roles: Owners and Admins create and edit Church Voice in Admin Console → Church Profile → AI Features. See User Permissions and Roles.

Why Does Church Voice Matter?

Most churches have a recognizable way of talking: the words they use for groups and spaces, how casual they are, how they invite people. Writing that down once keeps AI drafts consistent across every channel and every person on your team who clicks Generate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I have to set up Church Voice to use Generate?
A: Yes. Generate stays greyed out until an Owner or Admin saves a Church Voice.

Q: Will the AI copy my writing examples word for word?
A: No. It studies their style only. One good example is usually plenty.

Q: Can I change it later?
A: Yes. An Owner or Admin can click Edit anytime. Saving replaces the previous version.
