What is a Request?

What is a Request?

A request is a promotion request a ministry submits on a request form—Youth Camp in the email, Groups signup in announcements, Christmas Eve on social. The team reviews it in Inbox. Request status (Submitted, Needs info, Approved, Denied, Closed) is separate from team handling progress. After Approved, you can optionally Generate campaign. Full guide: Requests.

Plan: Requests is Plus. There is no Requester role and no public form portal—submitters are signed-in members, including Viewers.

Roles: Owners, Admins, and Managers build forms and run Inbox. Editors fill forms and view Inbox read-only. Viewers fill forms and see My submissions.

Why Do Requests Matter for Church Communications?

They give ministries one place to request promotion instead of email threads that never become a campaign. You still plan the actual sends on Campaigns and the Calendar.

How Do Requests Work in Communicate?

Forms: Campus-owned when multi-campus is on. Blank, Campaign request, or General request starters. Locked Title on every form. Optional Link to campaign fields, Notify on submit, and Default assignee. See Request Forms.

Inbox: List or Board, peek pane, For you for work waiting on you. Unassigned requests stay here—not on Assignments until someone owns them.

Two rooms: Updates (shared with the submitter) and Comments (team only).

Not campaign approval: Request Approved is not the same as tagging someone to sign off on a campaign plan.
